There are a ton of Philly ballers overseas, some of whom make decent cash; most recently, Lynn Greer left the Milwaukee Bucks to sign a two-year, $7 million contract with Olympiakos, a Greek club.

Above, Rashid Atkins (known as Rashid Bey when he played at Saint Joseph’s) is interviewed by Polish TV. He makes six figures and outearns his wife, who has a finance and bio degree from Penn. “That’s Wall Street money,” he told the Inky.

"dmac just name dropped you in a post about pedophiles. i am so proud to be your friend."

“dmac just name dropped you in a post about pedophiles. i am so proud to be your friend.”

- Comment on Chrissy’s Livejournal

"He released the news in a brief but eloquent manner on his QB Killa Web site."

“He released the news in a brief but eloquent manner on his QB Killa Web site.”

- My favorite sentence of the day comes from Matt Mosley, on his Hashmarks blog. Hey, we have a higher percentage of Bachelor’s degrees than Ohio! And way more old people!

Pennsylvania (and Philadelphia) will be ground zero for both campaigns until the April 22 primary. I will no doubt be inundated with propaganda from supporters of both Obama and Clinton unless they follow this brilliant idea.

Yglesias writes the state is demographically favorable to Clinton, but says if Obama wins here, Clinton is done. Does it play in Pottsville?

I watch bad TV (and Price is Right)

I’ve been working at home more recently — it’s winter — instead of walking into the office and my morning television regimen has boiled down to this: pre-9 a.m., Good Day Philadelphia (for, uh, Jennaphr Frederick); 9 a.m. Morning Show With Mike & Juliet (for the unintentional comedy); 10 a.m. Rachel Ray (for Rachel Ray’s occasional brief lapses into insanity); 11 a.m. The Price is Right (because it’s The Fucking Price is Right).

I used to watch CNN, but I can’t stomach the election anymore; before CNN I’d watch SportsCenter, but I can’t stomach SportsCenter anymore.

Dogs are always serious business

Look, more Gawker drama. Everybody is watching the video of an American soldier throwing a puppy, which is on Valleywag. (I lamely just reposted this in a comment over there earlier today.) But Gawker posted it yesterday, then apologized and took it down.

Yes, it is pathetic to recount this. But this is work: I’m not going to rest ‘til I figure out if Valleywag headlines like “Jimmy Wales’s other other women.
